I'm working on some illustrations for Koine's Lenten services. These are some rough sketches and concepts intended to be visuals during their performance of "O Darkest Woe". The crying woman is based on a great terracotta sculpture by Niccolo dell'Arca in the late 1400s. I'm more pleased with the pencil stages than the final inked piece.
