Keep in mind that you are seeing progress, not finished work.  The leaves and grapes are roughly indicated with an initial color.  I'll come back to that later.  The wheat is getting another round of work with middle tones.  For the wheat I'm working on the middle stage of the following progression: drawing, base color, glaze (to knock back base color), reapply base color indicating light source, darks, highlights.  Working on one color at a time helps to give the group a unity.  Coming back to an area repeatedly allows me to see it freshly and constantly adjust.
