Art-A-Whirl is coming up!

I'm one of seven artists exhibiting at the following event.  Details below.  Mark your calendar, we'd love to see you!

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
opens its doors for
Art A Whirl
What is it? Over 50,000 visitors enjoy over 500 local artists in the Northeast Minneapolis Art District.
Why is it important? St. John’s is 100 plus year old building located within this District. The antiquity and stained glass gives our congregation the opportunity to invite these visitors for a tour.
We also are hosting seven WELS/ELS artist and setting somewhat of a gallery for them in our building.
When is it? Art A Whirl runs from Friday, May 18 through Sunday, May 20
What we hope to accomplish?
1) Proclaim the gospel – For those that take a tour, our guides will tell the story of our Savior through the stained glass that adorns our building
2) Open our doors to our community – We want to let people we’re here and provide our people with the opportunity to welcome our neighbors and visitors
3) Give WELS/ELS artists the opportunity to display their work and show their talents to our visitors
4) Inform our sister congregations/friends/family members of the opportunity to see/hear the work of the artists in Northeast Minneapolis (especially the ones in our building)
Things we’re asking you to consider:
-         Pray for this event (This is the third year we’ve done it.  We hope to expand each year.)
-         Come and visit Art A Whirl (It’s a good weekend to come and check out Northeast Minneapolis and the WELS/ELS artists in our building.)
-         Consider a donation to help us make our lower level a little more gallery friendly.  The link for donations to Art A Whirl is:
