I'm developing concepts for 4 illustrations based on scripture.  There is a vaguely familiar lost feeling at this stage.  I don't magically envision the end product.  Here are a few initial sketches.  It's just a lot of brain work followed by clumsy mark making that never says what it should.  But my experience tells me that its better to make the clumsy marks than it is to wait around for lightning to strike.  The working provides answers if you pay attention along the way.  It's an unsettling place to be with several deadlines approaching (5 projects looming in the next 2 months) and no idea how many of them will be resolved.  I have a feeling that the very disjointed nature of this post betrays my state of mind.
